No, not BJs! *glares at friend*

Anyway, there have been man joints vs blunts threads, but I can't find anything comparing types of joints. Sr Verde's awesome picture thread is the nearest.

This applies to 'spliffs' as in containing tobacco and assuming the word 'joint' can refer to something with or without tobacco.

Pick the one you are most used to rolling and tell us about what else you can do from the extended list, or what your friends can, whether or not you use a roach, or something cool you've been meaning to try... or something I haven't included!

After googling, I noticed alot of these aren't very neat, eh?

Ooh, and I loved this article...

Cigarette style (straight- twisted or untwisted at the top)

Zeppelin (elliptical shaped twisted at both ends, seems popular in the US)

Cone (The archetypal spliff, to me)

Fancier Stuff

Cross

Windmill

Tulip

Helix/Braid/Twister (2 or 3 joints)

Other (or crazy stuff)

etc

I voted "ellipse" (Hed Zeppelin, drr drr drrrrr) because it's the old familiar. There's something comforting about tradition. It's the guaranteed shape of stoniness.

Of the fancy Js you pictured, i love the face of Windmill Dude ... he's no beginner!
The "Tulip" might be better named a Calla Lily, or a Canna Spliffy ... Jiffy Pop ... mmmm buttery.
Must have mass quantities of atrocious nutrition NAOW ... cn

Good point, Cannabineer. The 'tulip' doesn't look much like a tulip, but I think that's because of its connotations in relation to Holland. Artistic license ^^;

*feeds you* I give you last piece of my cake x

Frito- I'm sending a tutorial I did

i thought i had mad skills till i saw some of those pics. i picked straight on the poll. between the straight profile and the crutch/tip in the end my js always look and smoke exactly like regular ciggs and i'm way less paranoid to smoke in view of people. sometimes i roll them conish by accident because i make the crutch too small and overstuff the paper but they smoke the same. i never twist the end unless i'm transporting them. i'd rather pack it just right with something.

i hate when people twist the end then light the twisted bit like it's a wick. if i twist it i always cut it off before i light it. when i light any joint i tap it out a few times so the herb is perfectly flat and there's no paper sticking out, then i light it for real, so the wick thing drives me crazy. it's like begging it to canoe.

I dislike it too, you often end up with alot of paper smoke blowing everywhere. I did once, on a dare, use a large twig with some bud still stuck on near the end as a wick, meaning I had to toke really long to stop all the smoke just floating off as it was outside the joint. My jeebus, that was interesting.

I cut or pull the twisty bit off too. My cones are usually just a little bit dome shaped (you've seen them) so when the flame hits the tip of the middle, it spreads outwards and burns evenly. I've seen of people get a side burn when they start with a perfectly flat joint, when they were expecting it to be easier.

My joints are a combination of 'zeppelin' and a cone with no filter and I rip the 'glue' off always.

rar, I like cones, but I use two zig zags to achieve it. But if you're skilled you could fit 2 grams. Me and my old roomie used to go halfers on a cone joint like this, then we'd smoke it all the way to his work (~30 min drive).

i think one of the secrets is the proper packing of the lit end. even if it takes a little longer to get going it seems to set the even burn in motion. sometimes if it starts to boat i'll start turning the joint each time i hit it. it seems like the top part burns quicker than the bottom, so turning it keeps it even. when i roll it and light it myself and it gets all uneven i get soo disappointed in myself. i put my skills on such a high pedestal that when it goes wrong i feel like a total jerkoff. ever talk mass shit about someone's skills then you roll one and it's a mess? for some reason 1 out of 10 of my joints comes out like shit and the others are pristine. sometimes my hands are too dry, sometimes too sticky. sometimes it's like i have some kind of palsy and can't get the shit right. i'd still put my self in about the 92nd percentile for skills, though, just need to work on that 10th joint.

Regular rolled. DLX paper .5g bud .5 Orange box of American Spirit tobacco (or anything mild. Burns nice and slooow) walk around town flying high and not a person the wiser.
