How do you make your blend? (Vape Juice)

Hey all,

I was just wanting to see what everyone's process was for making their own vape eliquid with concentrate or flowers and PG or VG or both?

As for me I have been taking 5 grams of co2 oil concentrate and putting it into a shot glass that is in a pot of water with a temperature of 140-150* F then mixing it with 10ml of PG. I then take my dremel tool with an attachment that looks similar to a drill bit, mix it for about 2-3 minutes before putting it into syringes for storage. Put it in my little O pen vape cartridges and my kangortech tank and it tastes almost as good or better than the pre-filled cartridges at a dispensary.

What about you guys? (Mods feel free to move if posted in the wrong section)

1gr concentrates, 2-3gr PUFF MAJIC. Warm up and stir.

Every time I see these type of discussions, I keep posting about this stuff in threads. Hope the moderators don't get the wrong idea. I am just a VERY happy customer. This stuff has been the greatest advancement for me in all my years of smoking. Hardly even smoke buds anymore. Any my kids never ask "Daddy, what is that skunky smell?" anymore. Lol

My method is to make QWISO and dissolve into PG or PEG400.

I'm trying my hand soon at winterizing BHO to make an absolute shatter to dissolve.

alright good to know I am on the right track. It is a great way to smoke especially when you are around people who are not weed friendly or would look down upon you. Dont get me wrong i still love flowers and concentrates but the ease of never having to have a lighter or the smell is what really sold me.

I had been using some good PG that i bought off amazon, but doing some digging last night I found that a lot of people were getting this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HG01FI8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A389N5QCZ6IH3S

It says it is a mix of medical grade PEG400, PEG300, PEG200 and PG. I live in a weed legal state and have purchased a couple pre-filled cartridges from dispensaries, mainly the O Pen type and it seems like they only mix it with PEG400, so im gonna give that stuff a shot and see what it is like.

EJ Mix for the win. That shit works...1:1 ratio and it hasn't seperated...At all...And I made that batch in the beginning of October I think

Metasynth- What are you using as concentrate? shatter, co2 etc? Like I said i usually use co2 oil and 2:1 and its pretty good, on the EJMix though at 1:1 is it still liquid enough to move around? I always worried about making it too thick sometimes.

i guess another question too is what cartridges are you all using? i have just been using the small O pen types and the ego cheapo ones. I had a kangortech but it broke.

wow just got the ejmix, picking up some new oil tomorrow but i had a cart lying around that had maybe .6ml of straight oil, ended up putting about .8 ml of ej in with it and heated it up with a hair dryer, shook it around a bit and it mixed really well. took a few puffs and im pretty fried :)

My coop has been providing me concentrates to do e-liquid experimentation. I've come up with some good methods, but I find that I often have chunks of oil/shatter left over that won't seem to melt.

What is that? Why wouldn't it all melt? I'm not super saturating it. I'm doing like 1 gram concentrate to 2 - 3 ml base liquid. Base liquid is 70% propylene glycol, 30% vegetable glycerin. I've even taken the chunks and put one in 5 ml of base liquid just to see if it would break up and it never does.

I guess that's where the dremel comes in? Any way to do the job of the dremel without owning a dremel? I need to break up those chunks and particles. Then, I find, the best way to filter it is to fill no-needle syringes with the liquid, cover the tip with two layers of cheesecloth and push through. That cleans it up pretty nicely without losing much liquid. But I need to kill those chunks! Help!

With a dremmel or other thing we are trying to mimic true homogenization. At least I was. I have better luck with this handheld mixer than I did when I used a dremmel.

With that said, from my personal experience, and I use an ethanol based oil (QWET), straight PG will separate as well unless you turn your oil into a RSO type product (boiling off the solvent in a rice cooker vs air dried) and then add PG. My RSO juice does not separate.

There are products made from PEG (200,300, 400) like EJ Mix that do the trick with air dried oils. IMHO, they taste like shit though others prefer them to PG. But if you look at my posts on all of this, I have been successful using a minimal amount of EJ Mix (1 drop per ml of oil) and then adding in however much PG I want.

Could be that your concentrate has too much wax in it. Perhaps a winterization would help.

I've not needed one but an emulsifier would be the ticket.

Vg doesn't mix with concentrates. I've added Vg but I did that after it was already combined with the pg..try adding the Vg at the end.

My first attempt was pure PG. It didn't seem to make much difference when I added the VG, but I'm sure it didn't help.

I want to try the Dremel method where you break up the mixture with I don't know what kind of bit attached. I'd like to know what I'm supposed to put on the Dremel to do that.

yeah i have had a couple batches that have been chunky but I have to admit i think it was because it was kind of shitty bho. It seems when i tried the co2 oil, it mixed great, never had any chunks and it never separated...ever. I think its kind of a you get out what you put in kind of thing, if youre going to do it, buy some good c02 oil or shatter and you will be happy you did.

that homogenizer above would be great to have but i think the bit i used on the dremel tool is for routing wood, i can get a picture tomorrow. anyway it seems to get the job done after a 3 minute mix on various speeds.
