I have searched and searched, but i cant find much info on topping a clone. Last grow I topped the clones, above what i thought was the 2nd true node, but i didnt get any main colas, just a bushy low yielding, hard to trim plant. Any help is appreciated (im going to grow 4 seeds and two clones for my 3rd grow)

I top my clones when they're about 3 weeks old, 5-6 nodes in height. I then let it stretch a little under MH, then throw it into my tent where it almost doubles in length.

Here is my thoughts PLEASE correct any misinformation.

The clones you are getting are from mature plants? The nodes are alternating?

Try LST. Take the main branch at 6" and make it go horizontal.

This is not a clone but you can see the wanna bee colas

my clones have around 5 nodes or so now....they are not alternating....all nodes on both sides shoot off in the same opposite directions...I guess the nodes are asymmetrical ? Anyways, where is the best place to make the cut when you top ? Like above which set of nodes ?

thanks, SC

I did a LST on my taller plant when she was younger and it allowed a lot of growth around the bottom but oddly enough the plant is now under 4 ft lol wasn't wanting it to get that big but hey theres really good flower spots lol
