How do you transition into flowering from veg?

Will I be best switching abruptly over to x hrs/12hrs or x hrs/13hrs or x hrs/1xhrs or should I give them a special treatment?

You can switch them abruptly or you can treat for flower cycle (nutes and soluables) for one week then flip light cycle. I call this a pre-flower treatment/feeding I believe it cuts down on my stretch;)

I've never done anything other than going straight from veg (18/6 or 24/0) to HPS in 12/12. Doesn't matter if I've veg'd for long, or going straight from my cloner, rooting then to the flower tent.

I go straight to 12/12, well actually I'm running 12.5/11.5 (dark/light) currently. But anyway my clones are always showing flowers in about 6 days. I will add that I don't count my plants as flowering until they start to form pistils and actully begin flowering. The title of your thread is why I bothered to look at it, because transitioning into flower is exactly what the plant has to do. I feel that it does that very well being flipped directly rather then decreasing light hours gradually.
