How does everything look?

Ok, so apart from the nute burn (Ooops :/) how do my babies look? They are almost 3 weeks old, grew with 250w CFl and have now moved on to a 600w HPS. Using MG nutes for veg and will be using big blud for flower.

I'm having a hard time cooling my cuboard with this new 600w :/ - any suggestions? I'm on a budget btw so no expensive items ;-)!

they look wilty and unhappy... possible watering issue? heat stress from the hps?

Well, i watered about an hour b4 the light went off and they were pretty dry so I think they'll perk up later when they start using the water but I have no doubt there is probably some heat stress. I have 2 small PC fans in the cuboard and I leave the door open with a huge fan blowing in - it seems to be keeping the heat at bay but it's not a total fix :/

Yeah i agree they are curling down and cupping up at the same time, deff a heat issue and a little over watered, other than that they are nice and green. You need to get some ventalation going and you will be cool.

exactly what i was gonna say... you need more than a pc fan exhausting your hps, definitely. I know what it's like having no $ and needing equip.

Any recommendations for cooling a HPS?

ya you can do it the cheapest by buying a 6 inch inline for exhausting the space and use your pc fan to bring air in plus have some passive cool air flowing... that's the best I got without cool tubing it

Yeah i was going to say one intake fan (your PC) and two out takes one high and one low. 4 or 6 inchers would work. Thos HPS are hard to cool with out the hood vents and tubes man.

yup, i have 600w hps, that bitch heats my whole house in the damn winter....i dont use heater, just HPS..lol...j/k but it could if i tryed im sure of it

The simplest cheapest way to cool your lamp is with a small 6" oscillating fan blowing on the lamp. This is how i cool my 400w hps in a small space but i also have extraction to suit.

I have a fan blowing on the light alrdy but there was some initial heat stress from when I didn't. It's a bit noisy and bulky tho so I'm going to invest in an extracor fan - posted another thread about how to power one.

I know they are overwatered - the lamp drys out my pots super fast when I first installed it and I've had to water a bit more than usual but I'm managing now.

M8 do yourself a favour. fuck the 600w for now its doing more damage then good, put the cfl in ther so they dont fuck up from heat stress and when u can cool the cabinet sufficiently (with the doors closed) put the 600w back in. use it as a reward for getting your ventilation issues fixed first :) you have a lovely looking indica there my friend please dont murder her

Heres a very useful thread for you :

Sounds like sound advice I needed to hear - I was thinking of doing the same thing but thought I could stay on top of it. It was A LOT easier with my CFL..

Your fan will come with wiring instructions if it does not come with the flex cable al ready wired.

yes the heat will for sure kill your ladies so i would have to say go back to the cfl untell you get your temp down to operating temps..and for me i try not to water just befor they go into sleep if they are not in need for water wait if you can tell there morning and water then(but again this is just me)
