How early can I take clones?

I have 9 thriving plants 43 days old from seeds that have been vegging for 33 days. I'd like to take them into flower but the 2 books I have both say you shouldn't take clones until the plant is 60 days old. The plants will be larger than I'd like if I go another 2&1/2 weeks. What do you think?

If the branches are large enough, go ahead and take some cuttings now. Especially if you're working with space constraints.

Find a NEW book! i topped mine on Day 11 of veg and took clones...clones are jus bout ready for dirt! and its about time to take some more clones im only on day 20 veg. But i have run my lights for 24/7 for the past 3 weeks. You can make clones from smaller branches its jus takes a lil longer for them to grow. I dont know what your plants look like right now or what kinda setup you have going to say if the plants are gonna be too big . Bigger plants = bigger buds!
