How far away should my 600 MH be from seedlings???

I have a couple 1.5 ft plants in there now but im adding some new babies from seed into the room. How far away should the 600 mh be from the new seeds? I can have my plants pretty much touch the light, its a cool tube but dont want to take chances starting from seed.

Any advice?

I wouldn't put directly under it to start off, ease them into that bright of light, then I would start off a good 3ft then see how they do, if they start to stretch then lower the light.

thanks dude. i appreciate it. i believe 3 ft away is what i started at when my bagseed plants were seeds i just couldnt remember dont want to kill the babies.

and thanks for not saying "you're crazy for starting out seedlings under a 600", lol, people told me that and i take a look at my fully mature bagseed plants which were started under a 600 in perfect health and i just want to slap a bitch

hey beast! i think fluorescent lights are the best option for seedlings.
