I'm having an ongoing battle with the RH in my tent. I honestly don't get it. I have a 50 pint dehumidifier in the room, which can't be more than 10'x10' or 12'x12'. The air outside feels fine. I have two fans in a 2x4x5 tent, one 12" osculating fan on the bottom, and a 6" clip fan up top.
During the day I've been using a big clip to keep the door 'open' so the I'm losing the least light possible. It stays perfect: high 40s to low-mid 50s. The problem is RH inside the tent spikes if I keep the door zippered. It's gotten pretty bad, like 80, but last night it went all the way up to 99% and I know mold will happen if I don't nip it in the bud..heh.
Clearly the fans aren't cutting it, does anyone have resources to DIY exhaust fan setups? How many hours/days does powdery mildew take to form? I've heard as many as two, but I feel like it would be quicker than that.
Any advice or tips are super appreciated, this has been an issue throughout the weeks of flower.
Side note: Clearly airy bud is preferable to moldy, so for now I'm keeping the clip up and the door unzipped. I'm able to put up curtains and block most of the light going into that room, I'm hoping that will compensate and prevent too much light leakage.
