Extra CO2 is not necessary during veg. It is very benneficial during flowering. I have used a fementation vessel with yeast and sugar on my last scrog and seemed to make a signifigant difference. This is the vessel I use to brew beer and is perfect for flowering a small number of plants. Photo attached.

I've brewed beer before, attaching a hose to the air - lock will give you a steady supply....plus if you spend the $15.00 for a beer kit you'll have 5 X 12's for your trouble..
why just ferment sugar and water when you can make frosties.......all good..capice ?

I saw a vid on you tube where a guy took a new gas can and attached a small fish tank hose that led to a soap stone in a cup of water. the mix was more than you need i think but as long as you have enough sugar for the yeast to eat you should be ok.

Ok, a couple of things. The ratio I use is 1 Tbsp of activated dry yeast to 4 cups of sugar. Put all this in 1-2 gallons of fresh de-chlorinated water. The yeast will love the temps in the grow room and you should wrap a towel around the vessel as yeast are not fans of the light. I shake the vessel 2 x per day which makes the yeast all happy and busy. I like the hose for the C02 maker to be right in the middle of the plants about 3" above the tops. The CO2 is heavier than air and will float down to the plants. I use a rubber hose for this. You can see it in the photo from my last post. I was lucky enough to have someone give me the gauges and a solenoid to set up a CO2 tank that I will get from the local welding supply. I will be using that on my next scrog. I just triggered 4 clones in the flower room yesterday and they will get the new CO2 setup.
