I think it's because the government knows at this point it really doesn't matter whose out there exposing anything. Even whitleblowers like Bradley Manning get put behind bars, no trial for over a year without charges. Government knows they have the power and there's really nothing we can do to stop them. I just posted a thread, it even goes down as far as local police departments. Most people with any inkling of power abuse it when they know they can. These are the people who are supposed to be looked upon as a moral standard, but as time goes on, they consistently prove us wrong.
Revisions need to happen, either that or there will likely be some violent revolution to hold the police force, as well as the government, responsible. Sooner or later..
