How have you simplified your watering?

I'm growing outdoors in 15 gallon pots, the time it takes to water them is so time consuming. I'm currently using 2 connected 55 gal drums, gravity fed through a hose. Just curious what y'all have done to simplify your watering technique. Thanks.

A submersible pump could speed up the flow. Electricity required.

Add a timer (figure out how long to water) and it's hand off until the drums go dry?

Back when I had trees in the upright position, I made a few of these. Then carry the water out to the patches in 5 gallon buckets.

Blumats work great. I highly recommend investing in some sort of automated watering setup, your plants will grow so much faster and healthier and you will save a ton of time.

Nothing to do with watering but a good 6-10in of mulch on top of the soil works wonders keeping the water from evaporating. Straw works good but this year I've been using partially decomposed shredded leaves from last fall with good results.
