how high should my light be

hi can some one please tell me how high my light should be i am growin in a grow tent and my plants r about one foot and half tall??

a good rule of thumb is to place your hand at canopy level palm face down if you cannot keep your hand there because its too hot then move your lights up until your hand is comfortable .

Hang your light as close to the plants as possible.

Put your hand under the light and see how close you can keep your hand to it. If your hand cant stand the heat, neither can the plants.
