How is this for a 1st timer?

If you hang that charcoal filter horizontally across the top of your box you can remove hot air as well as get more space on the floor for another plant.

Just make sure that you support your can as they are heavy!

Yeah this sounds like a must do. I'm gonna relocate the room and expand a little and will def be doing this. Thanks for the great advise.

plus rep...thanks man

I would put the fan on the other side of the lights not filter>fan>light>light>light>exhaust but filter>light>light>light>fan>exhaust. the lights need negative pressure for the glass to seal properly. other than that looks good

in the pics the middle light has a light leak (so it seems to me) around that duct tape. If so then you have an air leak to. And you should get rid of the duct tape and get hose clamps for that the duct tape will dry out and go to poo.

Air should not daisy chain through each light. The air gets hotter as it passes each light. The last light in the chain isn.t probably cooling well unless you have a major fan. Branch off by using wyes to each light. That way they all get cool air.

Some of the worst info i have read on here in a while. If you are running more than one 1000 you probably have a pretty damn big fan. The y's would slow air down more than anything and would cause less air flow and more heat......

its sealed completly to the glass its self...and the housing is what is showin the light. But for the record I'm adding clamps and hanging the filter and fan. :)
