anyone have any personal experience with this? blasting with azamax the a few days before harvest?
Yes i have, just keep on the lower dose side of things and also make sure that the area is well ventilated. It can cause discoloration of the pistils turning them red and in very late stage you have to be careful of bud rot. I waited a week after spraying with Aza Max then rinsed the plants with spring water a couple of days before harvest. In the best case scenario no one wants to spray during flowering but unless you want to lose an otherwise healthy crop it's that or pull the plants. Aza Max is sold and marketed as an up to the day of harvest insecticide one would hope that what is stated is true and it will not harm human or plant. I have not noticed any ill effects after smoking or on flavor or smell. I never recommend using systemics or doing soil drenches simply because it has the most potential to do harm do to the fact that the toxin is stored in the plant and that would affect taste flavor and heath. Spray the plants with plain water after spraying helps reduce residue build up just like rain keeps plants strong and clean by remove dust and pollutants.

Azamax as a root drench does not affect potency, flavor, smell, or benneficials. The best measure is to stop overwatering and you wont get fungus gnats. Also never buy soil that is stored outside. Any reputable and knowledgable retailer will know to store soil mixes out of the weather. If you still get fungus gnats and your growing in soil use benneficial nematodes such as Scanmask. They are kinda expensive but they will kill any pest in the soil without harming anything including bennies and flavor and smell. They are a natural preditory nematode and only kill pest species. They colonize the soil and last the entire grow. You can also reuse the soil for several grows and the nematodes will remain as long as you dont allow the soil to completely dry out. If it does the nematodes will die because they need moisture to live and travel. Also a great antipest for outdoors too. They kill hundreds of soil born pest like June Bugs, Pill Bugs, ect.. And even termites!

Don't use hot shots during flower! Fine during veg.
My neighborhood is gnat central. They are everywhere and it's futile to try to keep them out of my grow space.
Rosemaric acid works for me. (SNS 209)
Mites are also plentiful & SNS209 works on them too.
Highly recommended!
