How long are people waiting for to get their permits from H/C?

Forgot to add.......whole reason for this thread period, lol..........Sent papers away Feb 4th....papers returned feb 18th due to ONE date on ONE form being dated 2012 rather than 2013 so rather than calling/ammending such a simple mistake themselves and realizing that first month of a new year this mistake is made im sure countless times they just sent it back with a form stating as such and with a big green arrow sticker pointing to the 2012 mistake, lol!......anyways...I did see all forms were stamped and numbered and sent them back express post on the 21st....hoping that with them already having a number/stamp and having an open file already that it will maybe expedite it a bit once in their hands......either way I think it is going fairly quick considering it was obviously reviewed and process started within a week or 2 of sending.....I am thinking that had the one date been correct then I probably would have had everything back by now or within the week or 2 but guess I will never know....now to see how long it takes from here again...thinking 4 weeks tops but hopefully sooner with any luck.

Thanks for your posts guys. I know I asked us all to get back onto topic after Jessica lost the plot, but since it did come up I would make a pause for just a second so I can clear one thing up. I wanted to go to 40g a day straight away but the doctor surprised me by saying he wanted $3000. I didn't have that kind of money so for $500 he wrote me a script for 20 grams a day. He said he'd up my prescription if I had the money at a later time. That's his greed not mine. I gave my form to my DG'er and he signed his and then they got sent off.

A month later I opened a new account with a bank and my credit rating was good enough to apply for a $3000 line of credit. SO I borrowed the 3 grand and went back to see the doctor. I gae him the money and he gave me what I wanted, which was a script for 40 grams a day and that is as far as I am aware the greediest doctor I know of but he got what he wanted and I got what I wanted.

No mr. moneybags here. I'm still paying off the line of credit. Jessica made it sound like I was rolling around in cash. Couldn't be anything further than the truth. I don't have my permits yet but when I do I will be playing with making marijuana oil. Do not forget thatI am a category 1 patient. Testicular cancer.

I think I found out the problem. It was mailed to the wrong address at HC and they've been sitting on it. Bloody hell. So it's being forwarded now to the correct address at HC. Back to the end of the line.

did you mail it incorrectly or did canada post eff it up? cause if it was the post I'd be calling my mp.

No. It was sent off by someone close to me and they filled out the wrong address on the envelope. I should have written it down myself. It'll be another 8-10 weeks now...incredibly frustrating but what can I do. Went to H/C alright but to the wrong address and they sat on it for all this time and only now is it being passed over to the correct location.

ahh buckets, always a reason why things don't happen. sorry that you are being placed back at the end of the line but you now know that you are in the system. hopefully it won't be too long a wait for you. now I hope you have learned that when something important needs to be done do it YOURSELF !

ha ha. To true User hidden. I've only myself to blame but at least now I know what's happened. Clock back a bit and we'll soon see how long it all takes. Have a good one.

That's great man. H/C has also informed me they sent a letter to me 2 weeks ago stating that they wanted more information. I never got it so they've sent it out to me again. I wonder what the deal is.

More information? Did you fill out your paperwork correctly?

This just in. No. The doctor didn't fill out his form properly so it was sent back. I have to go back to the doctors and have him fill it out again and then send it off to H/C. After that hopefully things will go more smoothly.

Yeah. I'm just shaking my head too. If it's not one thing, it's another. Hoping this will be the last of all the delays.

Get a 50% refund, or tell him you will tell about his good service. Sounds like ???...

Nah man. I'm okay with the amount I paid. It's a tax deduction and will help me get a refund next year. But I am telling people to go to other doctors for over 21 grams a day as there are plenty of cheaper doctors. I just couldn't find one at the time. Two years from now we'll have a federal election. I can't wait! Wonder what will happen if trudea wins. If he says legalisation does that mean the end of medical marijuana and permits in Canada?

I recieved my license in the mail today.
So It took from Feb, 8th .. Express Post (that didnt' really matter)
Until today , March, 28
That was about 7 weeks give or take.

I didn't pay 3k or anything close to that amount.

If in regards to buckets, he has posted something along those lines.

Expecting my new license any day. Does it come via Canada Post or courier to the door?

I am not sure so I can't answer. But I have heard from my DG that there have been approx 3500 law suits filed against the new regulations and maybe even Harper. They are considering delays in the implementing of the new laws. Anybody hearing this too?
