How long before I need nutrient?

I've got some clones in a bubble cloner some are just starting to root others were taken only a couple of days ago, how long will I get away with using just water before I need to add nutrient?

In the past I've always used nutrient but it appears to be an unnecessary hassle having to keep the ec/ph in check when I've seen at Riu water clearly works fine, as does nutrient but it's not maintance free lol.

depends on what your going to grow in. as to how long, quite a time, i pot mine up when roots are 1 inch long. someone who has left them in longer will post soon. you get kudos for clones, more people should produce them.

I'll be putting them into air pots with coco+perlite mix?

I agree with you about cloning I enjoy cloning just for the fun of it.

With a bubble cloner I can take huge cuttings without the wilt stage, I think I can knock a week or two of the veg time with bigger clones?

The one in the back middle was in a fridge for 7 weeks and 4 days and it's now successfully rooted, I've the mother I don't actually need it but I enjoy doing it, who knows when you might have to use the fridge to save genetics?

I got clones in cloner that have been there coming up 4 weeks.big old roots in plain water. Just started to yellow, putting them in greenman system tomorrow. PS, there in one of those 40 site X-Stream clones.

how do you get the roots out without damaging them through the small holes

I've cut the mesh off a few pots, I only need/want the collar from the pot to hold the puck in place, they make it really convient and a give a nice neat finish.

My cloner is a work in progress as they say, I had a couple of 2" round stones that worked well enough but I thought there was room for improvement.

I ordered 2x 12" airstones when they arrived they were burst out of the envelope and looking like 2nd hand, burred corners, scraped and one cracked.

I photographed them emailed the shop with the photos, in the meantime (disappointed) I thought I'd try them, I wanted to get an idea of how effective they are?

It turns out the crack in the stone makes little difference, possibly because I've got 2 taps T,d to each stone idk?

So in the end the stones work fine (I think?) and I got a full refund :-)

Question?
Going on the above photo would you settle for that ariation or would you add a couple of more stones.
Idk how much bubbles/volume is required I think the two above are sufficient but idk, what do you think?

For my clone machine I just have a sub pump with a mists up the top so I don't have to worry about running aqueduct oxygen.
But if you wanna keep in them in their longer guess it couldn't hurt to throw a few more stones in.

I've never seen that type of cloner before, I'd like to see one for real to have a closer look.
I had a spray/mist type previously but I'm getting on with the bubble type a lot better.
I found the mist/spray soaked the rw cubes excessively and spat water out of the gaps in the pots so it was always wet and also wasn't the quickest at rooting, it's possible/probable if neoprene pucks were available at the time I'd have got on much better with it.

Rockwool is great but not when it's in a system like that. Try the turboklone! Just slide the clone in disc and into the system
