just started flowering cycle 12/12 from 24/0 3 days ago. How long into flowering can I go before I need to clone?

I want to wait until the sex of the plant? Is this okay or is this too long to wait?

How long before sex is shown?

showing sex can be as quick as 3/4 days or as long as 3/4 weeks

but generally they show within 2 weeks

taking clones from a flowering plant makes things harder and take longer, I would not advise going past 2 weeks to pull clones

I'm assuming you are looking for the females prior to cloning to save yourself some work?

Heres something that may help.

Clone and label everything while in Veg stage, wen the sex shows in bloom, yank the corrosponding males from your cloner.. Its what I do when going from seed.

ie

PLANT A
PLANT B

CLONE A1
CLONE A2

CLONE B1
CLONE B2

etc

you can take clones till the day you chop the plant...i have taken clones around 3-4 week mark...took about 2 - 3 weeks to really take off...

i've taken cuts as late as 21 days into flower. past that, it takes forever for them to revert back to veg. keep in mind that you can use this to your advantage. if you have a strain that you want to keep going with, and you're space limited, sometimes this delay in reverting can work to your favor.

I have taken clones maybe like 3-4 weeks into flower and they took forever (2-3 weeks) to grow them roots, once they rooted everything was fine. I'd do what reefcouple suggested it'll save you a bunch of time.

i do have very limited space. thanks.

i'll probably wait until 2 weeks then if this is cool.

took a clone of a 7th week flowering plant. put it in coco in a cut in half pepsi bottle no rooting hormone. i covered the top of the bottle with saran wrap. kept the right temps/humidity and i made sure the soil was moist . . .and gave it a little fresh air every day or so. a couple days after 2 weeks there were bright white roots exploding out of the little coco sack i made. i just put her into my veg chamber and she is already exploding with new green healthy growth. . . and its "branchiness" is something like i have never seen before.
