I just pick up what I read on pot forums. I took it for granted. I am naive. I assumed that was the norm.
And, of course, I'm talking about a healthy plant. Not one that was over fed needing emergency urgent care. Tube down its throat.
If I might ask you who replied here, I am contemplating a post about my one plant slow growth and my LED and tent setup. With pics of course. Stay tuned if you would please. I'll probably post it in the LED sub forum. A $139 1000w BestVA light and slow growth after 70 days vegging and my deeming it vegged enough to start the flowering (which it's doing 7 days on).
Promise you'll tell me the cold hard truth.
Don't bother. You have our attention right here,
and you basically asked the question already.
First thing is $139 for an LED. Um, what did you expect from a "blurple" LED. Let's get something clear here. They can, and do, work. Just not well in bloom. In a tent (bet you want less heat then from HID) LED's do get plenty enough powerful to grow and grow well. Those would be COB LED's. If it ain't COB. It ain't worth spending the money on. Next thing is that just about every non-COB LED maker lies there ass off about what it will do (in a way). They talk of UV and IR nm range lighting being supplied. How nice except that the UV they supply is the wrong one, and the IR,, doesn't really do much for cannabis growing....Oh, and BTW. The Emerson effect is over rated...
On lighting in a tent: Cob LED's or 600w HID (or 1K) for 4x4's and bigger. LEC or As it can be known as, CDMH. Great for veg. but lacks in bloom. Not to mention that it's only a 3x3 footprint.
I tend to suspect that the plant is growing slow, due to the strains potentials (You didn't say what strain). It maybe a shorter running strain and your pushing it farther then it normally would grow (with any speed). It may also be in need of a new, bigger pot.....More feed.....Hard to say with out knowing the strain and seeing pictures.
Well, there it is. I gave you what you wanted.... Some LED folks will disagree. But it's still true that you can kill cheap LED's with HID. If you plan on getting out of the tent and grow tall plants. HID is the way to grow.....
