How long should I leave my plants in Vegatative stage

Not to sound dumb, but How long do I leave my plants on 18-6 time cycle before changing them to 12-12 cycle.

I'm at week 3, day 2.

depends on how big you want them to grow.expect them to double in size or more after you switch to 12/12.
if starting from seed, you want to wait till the nodes stop growing side by side and start alternating. this shows the plant is mature enough to flower. clones are the same age as the parent so they will be mature as soon as they root.

U beat me to it

Check out the 12/12 from seed thread (del66666) before you decide. At first I did 6 weeks veg. All it does is make the plants tall. I went to 12/12 after 4 weeks for my additional grow. Now I have 5 seeds germing and they will go right into 12/12 as soon as they sprout. Around the equator the daylight is 12/12 all year round, and the weed seems to love it.

When you want to start flowering the plant to get some bud that's when you put it on 12/12
