can you dry for too long? I wanted to dry slow I put the buds in a paper bag to dry slower than the screen they were on earlier. the room is 65-75% humidity low 70's to high 70's.

i'm not worried about mold, i can check for that.

I put some in a jar with hydrogemeter some came out 65% other was 80%

I will usually dry for about 5 days (depending). 45-55%@70. This is where it gets tricky because I have noticed different strains can dry differently. I try to aim for stems snapping cleanly but not as snappy as say kindling for a firepit. Then i let them sweat in paper bags for a day and then put them in plastic turkey bags until i can process it. i will burp the bags daily too. I usually jar up my personal stash and burp once a week

From a cureing/fermenting perspective ,, the longer they take to dry the better --untill you run into mold

It gives the plant more time to breakdown unwanted material such as chlorophyl

My buds dry differently depending on what time of year it is. We have huge RH swings. I try to hang for 5 to 7 days, paper bag for two days, then glass jars.
