how long to veg for? help please

It's about the size of the plant you want plants triple in size when you flower them so if you have a 6 foot tall area you would flower your plants at about 2 feet yes bigger plants will give you more bud than a small one.

Yeah you can use lst to keep the height down. I personally am using lst for my plants to keep the canopy even.

That's all dependent on genetics and how long you veg for and lighting... by no means is it a rule of thumb.

While on the subject of LST, I have a question.

If I flower my plants without LST and then start to notice they are too high, can I switch to LST at that point?

In other words, can I apply LST at any time?

Sure, LST is simply using string to tie back buds to allow more light to other buds. Or in your case, keep the height down. However, the longer you wait to train, the thicker the stems get, and the harder it is to get the stems to go where you want.

you can try to train them and have some success when in flower but to get best results you start training them when they are veg through to early flower.
