How long To Veg Under T5?

Wondering cause im a newbie, Seeds haven't cracked yet, then i put them in the rockwoll mini cubes and veg for how long? they are ak-47 .
Also, do they show sex under 24 hours of light after a couple weeks, or do I have to put them in the flowering room? Sorry, im retarded....lol...

Oh, little retard, let me return you to the path... One, I recommend you germ your seeds in soaked paper towels. That way you know which seeds are winners before you put them in rockwool. Anyway, its a minor quibble.

You should see preflowers to determine sex in 5 weeks or so, but I have had plants that didn't show until I moved them into 12/12.

something you need to take into consideration,how much vertical space do you have available? if you only have a 4 ft. tall grow area,you cant veg out until 3 ft.......

Psh, dont call him a retard, like bigsix said it depends on how big you want them be be in the end. Small space equals short veg time.

do you have 5 feet of space to your light or five feet of space for the plant to grow? Also what kind of light are you using? If you are using flourescents you probably don't want a 5 ft tall plant unless you are using tons of flourescents because the light will just not be strong enough to support healthy buds on a plant that size. I would say to flower between 12" and 18" depending on your answer to some of these questions. I will be checking back. Good Luck with your grow.

in my experience the plants shows it's sex even they are under 24/0 brotha' ! and i thing that in his case that will happen, coz ak-47 is a autoflowering strain. right?

Anyway, I know that hence the mentioning of preflowers. Also, I am going to look into the auto-flowering thing. Every plant I have ever grown was apparently auto-flowering, but they never did it on their own. I always just chalked it up to misinformation from the seed sites.

yes 24/0 works, i'ld guess atleast half the people on thise site veg with 24/0, the light does not stop the roots from growing because the plant needs the roots to live so if the roots are lacking the plant will use its energy to grow the roots. As far as autoflowering there are some strains that are autoflowering I did not think that ak-47 was one of them but i could be wrong.

thank you for all your info. The t5 is about 12" from the cracked seedlings in mini rockwoll. so i bet what i was asking is should i veg them to about 2 foot and look for the best mother? Veg room is 5 foot tall and flower is 5-7 foot, but with what i want is 3 footers. Any other opinions welcome. thank you and smoke on.

Im sorry, my flowering has a 600w hps w/ hydro setup. but the vegg has just one t5 24" lamp.
