how long to veg??????

alright folks just a quick question on how long after seed germination should i veg my buddah cheese seeds, before i send them to 12/12? in my previous grows i have been in veg mode for 10 wks before i start transition. a few mates say i should only veg for 3-4 wks then send them and il get a bigger yeild?so i ask for some experienced growers to maybe help my out here with some more information. cheers folks :weed:

the only thing that determines how long to veg is your desired finished height. If you've got a moderate powered light you want shorter plants as the light can't penetrate as deeply. It's a real art to get that perfect. A light meter is a good thing to have for that.

Veg LONGER when you have ALOT of light. VEG less with less light, Cause a bigger plant just means you need deeper light penetration.

i personally think 2 feet is perfect height for flipping to flower i as well top my plants week before going into flower which gives me clones for next grow

yes i run 2000 watts useing white poly film for my walls its a must never tryed aluminum takes me 4 weeks to get a 26" plant in veg from a 4 to 5 " clone!cid_1106001909a.jpg

Ahh iC. im on my 1st Real grow so im still learning, 600w here. Going 2x 600s next grow. Not going the double cycle, Just 1 grow at a time.

what ever you do when u decide to go to flower keep lights off 24 hrs before flipping to flower then go on 12 / 12
my plants only took 4 days n are starting to bud that 24 hrs lights off made her flip fast . :))

you can veg longer/bigger with 400/600 watt hps's easily. the ppl telling you to veg for 3-4 weeks are getting caught up in all the hype lol. if you wer growing a sog and cloned from mother plants then yea you veg that long but other than that it depends on the light and what you want really.

i thought the longer the veg the bigger the plant and the bigger the plant the bigger the yeild. am i wrong?

Im running a 600w hps/mh setup and i usually let them get anywhere between 18" to 30" before i flip the time and bulbs back to the flowering stage

maybe outdoors this wood be true but indoors it's a whole diferent ball game. If leaves on mega plants are not properly iluminated they aren't going to produce the same amount of sugars to feed the thc factories (trichomes)
