How long until he seedling will sprout and when to give it light

I've successfully germinated my seeds and potted them up, though I'm wondering when it will sprout out of the soil, how much water(how should I water it, spray or pour) and when to give it light? I'm using a 125watt 6400k lumen cfl bulb

You give it light as soon as it sprouts, I usually keep light ( on a 18/6 timer ) after planting seed in case it pops without me noticing it, once it sprouts water it by pour, I never spray but that just the way I do it. as to when it will sprout, depends on how deep you planted it.
