Imma take a sample tomorrow and vaporize it, hoping i avoid the whole reason quick drying sucks lol first timer, dont see anything wrong with checking how ur smokes gonna be for harvesting purposes

Watching closely for mold over here, but so far so good - no rot. Anybody have a good estimate on how long it takes to flush nutes from the soil and plant? One week, or two?

for me, being my first grow and all, it has helped me learn and get somewhat of a correlation between what the buds look like and the effects by sampling, although all strains are different. you just have to keep the word "sample" in mind though, as to me that means a bowls worth, not a nug that should last a few days lol!

Cool, thanks. -I was thinking about another week, but this is only my second season and last year I took them down too early, so what do I know?-lol. Thanks guys.
Here it is in the light...and it looks like even more amber trichs today..IMAG1383.jpgIMAG1382.jpgIMAG1381.jpg

Ok, thanks Dan. -I just gave them a feeding of some ff cha ching last night with some molasses and guano...how long will it take to flush out the taste?-and is there a way to do a fast flush?

awwww man. Don't feed it anymore! Flush it again immediately. Just flush with lots of water.

Feeding right before you harvest doesn't help you in any way, it only makes your buds taste worse.

Don't harvest. Flush more. You just kinda screwed yourself a little bit there, you could have pulled it today. Now you should probably wait a week and hope you don't get any mold in that time.

and by not feeding it I mean feed it absolutely nothing besides water! Cha Ching and guano is not nothing, it will make you bud taste crappy and you get absolutely nothing of value in return. There is NOTHING you can feed your plants at this point that will improve anything. Understand?

Damn it!...well, like I said, I just fed them less than 24 hrs ago...and before that just h2o for a week straight. Can I pull them now, or has the fertilizer already entered into the plant and buds?

If you pull them right now your buds will taste like shit. Flush them. And by flush them I mean feed them with water only and nothing else. Do not harvest without flushing.

right now you should imagine me choking you a little bit and slapping you around.

2 weeks would be perfect but right now, I have 2 more weeks and my plants density looks similar to your plants. I ve been getting my ass raped with mold. I inspect Every morning and the last couple days been hectic cause I have to keep Chopping my crowns. Good luck tho, everythings looking like a sweet harvest.
hey bud does your plant get some good morning sun? i found out from my grow this year that when u get to the dense-bud phase outside, you have to keep it in the morning sun to evaporate the morning dew off! simple eh? hope this wasn't your problem and u just have some deez buds

Lol...well, you're gonna have to take a #, I'm not finished with myself yet!-lol.
Ok, I will follow instructions this time. :/ Thanks. -Do you think if I double the daily watering it will help to speed the flushing process?

I have to ask.... What was the thought process that lead you to pouring nutrients on a plant that was ready to harvest? Why did you think that was a good idea?

Honestly, I've been getting various advice, and, like a dumb ass, obviously I followed some of the not so great variety...
Unfortunately my eyes aren't trained as to what to look for come harvest time, as this is only my 2nd grow...at least I'm learning right?-lol

Well, I for sure have the 90% Orange hairs, but I'm only at about 35-50% amber trichs. This is exactly why I thought I'd be ok to give one last feeding last night, then flush for a week..

Keep in mind your trichs will continue to ripen after you harvest. I pull when the hairs have turned colors, the calyxes are swollen, and the buds have that finished look to them.

Oh, I didn't know they kept ripening after harvest like other produce...for some reason I thought that that process was halted by drying and curing..

These are more than ready for harvest. Stop everything. Give them a couple of days to dry out and chop!

if ur feeding chem ferts like cha ching and stuff i would def flush for a week. that plants looks done but imho i think it will be even better a week from now. i personally like to wait for all the hairs to turn orange i dont like seeing any white hairs. i wait til the hairs recede back into the bud and it is at least 50 percent golden trichs. but a lot of when to harvest is personal preference but i think most people prefer it with more golden trichs. if u grow organically with all types of manures and such in the ground i think flushing is pointless cuz there is no way to flush all the shit out of the ground. but when feeding with chems i would flush, but i also would never feed with chems so i dont ever worry about flushing. but ya like i said i still think that plant has 5-7 days anyways. its ripe but its barely ripe, and the window is about 7-10 days from once its ripe to when it starts to degrade. straight water for a week and pull and u should have some dank bud. but remember when to pull is only half the battle, drying and curing are just as important as to how your final product turns out. just remember for drying: cool, dark, and dry. keep the air moving with a fan blowin but not directly at the plants. keep the lights off, once a plant is pulled the light does the exact opposite of what it did while it was growing, it degrades the thc. and try to keep the humidity down so mold wont be a problem.
