How Long?

ok my 400W hps will be here tomorrow. I got my 5 gal buckets all ready. My plants are about a week old now. I have been keeping them under the light 24 hrs a day. I was just wondering how long I should keep my hps on them for? Thanks all!

are you using fluoros at the moment? because if you are id use them for about another 2 weeks. then bring in the 400w. i would keep it on 18/6 to keep your bill down a little bit

yea im using fluros right now but only 80W. ANd they are down celler where its a colder environment, which isnt too good for them right? And about the 18/6, thats for the hps right?

yes th3 18/6 is for the hps. and how cold does it get? could you put some sort of barrier around it hold the heat in any?

It stays about 68-70 down celler maybe. Its a huge basement. I dont think I could do a barrier right now. Im 19 an have my own house, but the thought of my mom stopping over to "visit" just fucks me up, and would look a little obvious maybe since her ex boyfriend and current husband use to grow and sell dope. I mean if she did find them I would just tell her its my decision, no biggie, just some of natures essentials lol Thats why I decided to grow upstairs in my closet, Im sure she knows why not to go up there (its like a dont ask dont tell thing) But if she ever came over, stopping her from going down in the basement and down celler would make her think something is up. Ok anyways, didnt you say that you dont use fluros? just hps?
