How many AK47 can i get under a 600 watt hps?

Also roughly how far does it have to be away from the seedlings once they break through?

Anyone growing under a 600 w hps?

i use 2 x 600w hps in my flower room, but what you mean when it comes out? if you can i would invest in a MH for the veg of a seedling, they need time compared to a clone....... and unless you got lotza ventalation for and around the bulb you gonna have to keep that pretty high.... i kept bugning mine with 1 x600w so invested in light tubes, made me able to keep the lights on without frying the plants.......

and as for how many, that depends on the way your going to grow them and the size ya want them.....

I have just finished constructing a 8x8 grow room, i have to fans pulling air in near ground level, one of them has ducting taking the cold air straight onto the bulb, and i have some more ducting extracting the heat away from the bulb (like one of those air cooled hoods) the temps with the light on are just above 70, so what your saying is 600 watts of hps is no good to veg with? i have some hoods i made full of cfl's would i be better using them during the veg process?

Soil grow veg for about 5 weeks, then 9 weeks flower or something like that

Hey baz i think ud be safe to take 6 sq.ft.Using the pros techniques of small veg about 8 " and directly to flower. u could fit at least 4 plants/sq.ft.I think thats 24 plants and ud have a killer harvest with that lamp..
My buddy does clones in one gallon bags and harvest about 1/2 per plant from Cutting then placing directly into flower.
Check out al b fucts stuff..Its very helpfull.

Im planning on using 6 sq ft like you said, but i dont think i could get 24 plants in 6 sq ft due to the size of the pots i have, i was thinking 6 was pushing it, but if what your saying is right, i might try 10 bud
