3000 lumens? that doesnt sound like much. one 42w 2700K CFL puts out 2800 lumens

i have 6400 lumens for vegetation. it should say on the package how much lumens a light puts out. a 23w (100w equivalent) GFL puts out about 1600

for flowering you want like lower light temperatures(3000k,2700k) and you have a 12/12 light schedule

for vegetation you want higher light temperature(6500k,5000K,4700K) on about an 18/6 light schedule

its the light temperature, you have some lights that give off like a super white light. they are higher like 6500k. lights that are more yellowish are lower like 3000k

My cfl are 26w....1700 lumens I'm using 2 for veg..it's working but I need to get some more for next lot. Check the different comp. 26w'ers are different. Sylvania is diff. than GE.....etc.

Did I catch you right that you have a plant that has been vegging for almost 9 weeks and is only 1 foot tall? How could you let it go that long without some improvements? I would love to see a pic of this. Good luck with the rest of your grow though, and get some lights in there quick.

Heyah! I like to stay away from the HID lamps because I need the ultimate in stealth, they leave a heat signature for prying G-Men, you need expensive bulbs and balasts, and they're too expensive to run. So I use 2 x 150W Blue Spectrum and 1 x 125W Red Spectrum CFL's for Veg. at 24 hours per day. When those sweet hairs start to show on the Ladies, I go 2 x 150W Red and 1 x 125W Blue CFL's at 12/12. I have used 3 x 150W Blue's for Veg, and 3 x 150W Red's for flower for a faster growth. This is roughly 21,000 Lumens which is good enough, especially for LowRyder. I swear by these CFL's for very small growth areas and stealth. Cool!

CFL's are 21% efficient, the other 79% of the electricity is given off as HEAT!

HPS is almost 45% efficient 55% of the electricity is given off as heat.

Watt for Watt HPS puts out 24% LESS heat than CFL. Also watt for watt costs 24% less to run.
