How many CFM for a Pump to make BHO?

Hey All, quick question. What CFM would you need to properly extract the gas from BHO?

I'm assuming your trying to purge BHO using a vacuum pump? If so, it doesn't matter what size the pump is. If you cant achieve a vacuum you've got a leak in the rig.

A friend told me if you Whip it over an electric plate for 1-1.5 hours you can avoid having to use the pump to remove all the butane.... but from what I've read you need the pump

I just float the dish containing the oil in a larger dish with hot water from a kettle. Even with a vacuum purge it wont remove any impurities that were in the butane. The vacuum just speeds up the boil off. Good clean butane is what you need most.

If your doing a big run, you can buy 99.9% pure butane from a gas supplier. There's a few in TO.

I have been hearing the new way is using C02 instead of butane (still non toxic but even more pure)

- I think I'll stick to the 99% butane for now and the water bath + hot plate heat purge (but I do like the idea of having extra CO2 around for the girls)
