why dont u just get 4 1000watters instead? youll have and xtra 400 watts compared to the 3400watts with 4 600w and 1 1000w

i wasn't looking at watts.. i was looking at lumens.. cuz the 600watt has a higher output compared to the 600watt... also you could get 600watts closer to the canopy compared to a 1000watt.. and i need closer.. cuz my room is only 7ft high

get a hood fan and keep them hoods cool, thats what i use and my plants are about 3 feet from the hood

doesnt a 1000w put out more lumenz then a 600w? all youd have to do is keep the hoods cool to move them closer i keep my 2 cool and dont have a problem with them i just lower my trays as i go

i dont like ducting my lights so i will have 5 -14'' fans blowing over the canopy.. also i have a 1000cfm exhaust fan lined up to exhaust the hot air out of the room

i was wondering... say if i went full scale and used 5 or 6 -1000watt hps lights.. what is a ball park estimate of what my power bill would go up by if they only ran for 12 hrs a day?

It depends on the actual cost of energy where you live...

Each light consumes a fixed amount of energy... just multiply that by the cost of you electricity...:eyesmoke:

There are on-line calculators for this...
