Ok i want to grow 6 plants keeping whichever females come from them harvesting all of them cept keeping 1 as a mother. Will 4x 14 Watt 5000k (daylight color) cfls + 2 or 3 , 23 watt 2700k be enough to veg 6 of these untill about 6inches tall (then ill flower is that enough time?) I was thinking of Having a home made fixture that will place 3x 23 watts over the and then ill place the 4 14 watts inbetween all the plants Eventually by the time i start taking clones i will have more 5000k+ cfls but for now is this ok for 4-6 plants? the grow area will only be as big as needed possibly tubberware.
how many lights for this..

the best cfls to use are 6500k for veg and 2700k for flowering, mixing and matching these is also good and i wuld say stay away from the 14 watt and just go for somthing higher, the extra couple bucks will go a long way in the outcome, also pack in as many lights as you can, not having enough light screwed me over early in my recent grow.

i got 12 daylight CFL's which are 5500k. and they are all 23 watt. i bought them all at home depot in packs. 2 bulbs for 8 bucks. deff get a higher wattage and dont mix and match just use a bunch of daylight bulbs and then when ur rdy to flower swap those daylights out for soft white. which is 2700k. u could mix and match alil if u want, but mainly u just want daylights for veg cycle...so if ur gonna use some soft white still just use like 2 of them and have alot more of daylight bulbs
