How many lumens should you have ?

I've heard alot of conflicing things about light reqs. I want to know from all of you: what is the least amount of lumens per foot, least, and what would a typical decent setup have for instance. Right now I'm under the impression that 3k per sqf is least. 5k is avg or "okay" setup and 7500 or more is alot but not too much. Thanks. Oand those are for flower. For veg I thought 3k was plenty

I hear 2.5k for veg and 10k for flower is minimum what you want to shoot for. Thankfully Ive got some parts of my flower that are under 150k lumens

8k is a great number to have... 5k at minimum (though my CFL grow was under that and performed well)

Right now I have 16,000 lumens from a 150w hps under 1sqft effective growing area... we'll see what happens
