How many pesos is a 12-pack in Cancun??!?

Ok, so I'm traveling to Cancun in December for a week, and I am planning on just sitting on the beach the entire time and drinking beer. I am curious though as to how much the beer is going to cost me in comparison to here in the states.

BTW did you know the Avg. High Temp. in Cancun in Dec. is 82 degrees?

Well, I know the current exchange rate is about 13.5 pesos per US Dollar. So I am wondering if anyone knows how many pesos drinks at the bar are, or beer at the store is in Cancun, Mexico. Or does anyone know how I can find out?

its really hard to say in cancun because youll pay an inflated price just because itbeing a resort town.

Typically a drink at a bar (beer) would be abouta dollar or 12 pesos or so. a 6 pack at a store runs about 40 pesos if i remember right or about 3-4 bux.

American beer costs more where the local stuff ie carta blanca, corona, tecate , is less.

I advise you get a taxi and ask that he take you to a deposito or siete once + party store or 7 -11

Stock up with some beers in your room, cuz youll pay triple in the resort.

I bet at a midrange place youll probably still ony pay 3-4 bux a beer.

Many things cost the same or are more, like electronics, and cars, and some liqours.

Try to buy mexican products and youll be good.

If you mention MOTA to a cab driver hell score you weed, but contrary to what most people think, its highly illegal.

One joint by an american and forget about it. it would cost you 5-10 grand easy and a day or two in jail and maybe even a little rough you up!

Better to not seek it.

I am actually going to be staying at a resort, and I am assuming that is where I'll be sitting on the beach all week drinking. I'll probably just walk to the nearest corner-store and stock up on corona. That is pretttttty cheap.
