How many plans in a 2x4 enclosure?

I was thinking about building 2 wood enclosures in my garage. I was thinking making them both the same size with a 2x4 footprint and about 5' tall. One veg one bud. Both using ebb & flow style hydroponics. With that in mind how many plants could I grow in each chamber. I know I can easily veg 6 plants in that space but is 2x4 too little space to productively bud 6 plants with an ebb & flow setup? For veg I was thinking a 48" 4 bulb T-5 lamp and the budding I was going to get an aircooled 600w HPS system with carbon filtration.

Any help here?

I think if you get a 1000w HPS for the 6 plants you'll get better results. Just my opinion.

i don't think a 1000watt hps would work very well in a 2 x 4. i'd get two 250watt hps for the flower box, you'd be able to keep two different heights of budding plants plus you'd be able to raise and lower the lights easily for better light penetration. . and the 48in t5 will work great for veg in that space
