2 pounds per plant?

i'm just playing. but outside, 2 pounds is easily doable. they say 1 gram per watt of light is doable but everything has to be perfect. half that is good if you ask me. so 1 pound under 1000 watts of lights is an obtainable goal. it could be 1 or 2 plants LSTed or numerous plants in a sea of green. there are many options.:blsmoke:

FDD! this is the hydro section. we play in water, not mud!

2.5 lbs is a lot. to get 6.5 oz per plant, you'd have to veg them much longer than the standard month. i would say maybe 2-3 months of veg...i've never vegged that long, so those are just guesses.

who said anything about soil? i said 1 pound per 1000 watts is doable. depends on what style of growing you do. you can do 2 plants but you have to veg longer and LST them or you can do a sea of green and veg shorter. soil, mud what?:confused:

I read that one should switch from veg to flower when the plant is a foot tall - that returns actually diminish with longer flowering.

Is that true? There is so much conflicting information around the web.

I think that all depends what strain you are growing, lights you are using etc......
Theres more than one way to grow, just find what works and go with it.

Is that a hat pulled over your face or did you black it out?

Just so you know you can pull the original thumbnail off the metadata in photoshop, no good just scrubbing your face out in paint :)

Check out the link in my signature.

That's a wool stocking over my head.

I didn't really think I should show my face,
but if you have a grow journal and I believe your are a real grower,
I can send you a picture with my face if that will make you feel better,
of course I expect to see your face also.

PM me your show, and let's trade pix.

ask VicVicious,
he'll vouch for me,
and I will vouch for him.

He has been to my house,
and seen my show live,
and shared my budz.

He's growing some Texada seeds I gave him,
when he was at my house.

Here is a link to his show.

To the original poster:

Focus on getting a couple of healthy crops before going for the big yields; growing pot well indoors is a skill and you need to build up your skill set. As someone mentioned, yield depends on so many things.

I've gotten 7 1/2 oz under a plant with a 1000 watt HPS with a low pressure aeroponic system, it was kind of a pain in the ass to deal with. I shoot for 1 ounce plants now. Outdoors I've gotten one pound plants (3 plants, 3 pounds total) that got so big that I built a pvc green house around them to keep the neighbors from noticing. The 3 pounds of pot turned out to be complete BS because of the poor genetics (yet it still sold...).

As a beginner, work on healthy plants, not monster plants. You'll be making more long term.
