How many plants to SCROG w/ in a 2x2x5 grow tent?

I recently purchased a gl60 grow tent and have it all setup. Temps are on the dot at 76% and i'm running a iPower digital 400w cool tube hps/mh light fixture. I'm wondering if it would be more beneficial to grow one single monster plant, or to do two different strains in a scrog in 2 gallon pots?

Strains:

White Widow Feminized (Green House Seeds)

Critical Super Silver Haze Feminized (Delicious Seeds)

Others strains i have to work with....MK Ultra Feminized (TH Seeds), Chernobyl Regular (TGA Subcool), and Durban Poison Regular.

*Keep in mind i would prefer for this grow to work with a sativa dominant strain, rather than an indica. I also have a vegetative chamber too taht i'll be working with.

Soil/Nutes:

FoxFarm Ocean Forest Soil + 1/3 GrowStone (Way better than any pearlite or vermiculite to aerate soil, by far!)

FoxFarm Trio- Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom

Green Pads CO2 Generator (Temporarily until I get my 20lb tank and regulator bought and setup)

I was wondering if anyone has grown these particular strains with success from this seed company. Also, do you think it would be too much, or too little of a space, to grow one plant of each of these strains in a scrog setup in this size tent?

Another thing i was thinking was to do a single plant scrog in a 5 gallon bucket with one of these strains. What's your opinion on this?

I'm trying to maximize my yield, and possibly hope to work with two strains, hence why i want to approach the scrog method.

i use a 2x2 space for my scrogg only one plant it works really good. two plants would be to much to scrogg. i find any seed i get from green house kick some ass so use the white widow

I am scrogging 6 ak plants in a 3x3 space. I would not do 2 different strains because they may be different heights and bushiness level. Plus flowering and veging times may vary. Scrog is usually good with plants that have the same traits. You want an even canopy in the end.

Thanks for the input Halfaweek and Canna. Yea i figured the varying traits of the two wouldn't be a good idea to combine the two. Also, i think i'm going to run a single plant in a 5 gallon bucket and do a massive scrog with it.

I think in my veg chamber i'll grow out the super silver haze separate and use lst (topping, fimming, and tying down) and grow it to be quite the bonsai in the mean time while i work on the white widow with the scrog. Of course i wont start this til a couple of weeks after because of the rampant growth rate of sativas.

So when do you exactly flip it over to 12/12, especially in my case with one plant and the size of my grow tent? Before the top cola reaches a couple of inches within the canopy? Wait for the tops to come through a few inches and then start pulling them back, then switch to 12/12? And what's your thoughts on topping a sativa during a scrog while still in the veg stage?

One plant scrog for sure. Flip the switch when your screen is 60-80% full (strain dependant).

I keep all branches under my screen until it fills the whole screen then switch to 12/12 once i switch i let the plant grow up through the screen

I should have rephrased that last sentence in my previous post....what do you think about super cropping a sativa like white widow or super silver haze with a single plant?

Bumbaclat do you mean when 60-80% of the tops are poking through the screen?

dont top the plants topping will delay the growth of your plant just let it grow. here are some picks before and after flowering

Where did you get your scrog screen for your grow? If you don't mind me asking

my grow box that you see is a greenhouse kit i bought at home depot the screen is what came with it
