I was looking at the website and it says 2.5 x 2.5 but I see a lot of people on here growing with one or two lights doing a full crop... just wondering how many can they effectively grow.
How many plants under an area 51 light?

I did 6 in 2 gal airpots with coco using AN sensi 2 part, with RO. Vegged for 10 -11 days from clones. Used bud candy also during mid to end of flower. Got ~6.5oz with the xgs. I just did a grow with the xgs and an rw 150. I decided like an idiot to try out canna again and do DWC since it was the most fitting for my area. i.e. didn't want to do tables being it's a brand new home I just built a year a go and didn't want to worry about flooding issues. Anyways. didn't work out the best, either I bought contaminated supplies which I'm not so sure about because I cleaned them well, or it's just the area. Bunch of people I know and according to the guys at the pool stores this area is experiencing a ton of algal blooms and cyano infections. Was hoping for 13oz+ but so far it's looking like I'll get a total over about 8-9oz. 10 if I'm lucky. still not bad for 345W but I'd like to do more. And plan so with going back to coco while sorting out things.

Thank you for answering, I was looking at the XGS and the RW but I am not sure which one is better. I have some 300w panels from advancedledlights but I am lookin for white light so I think XGS.

Not that i have experience with the all white SGS model but from what i see most are people preferring the RW over the SGS. About 40 less watts used and both produce about the same. I have a rw 75 at the moment and seeing how my plants responded to it i'm gonna get at least one more.

Hate to correct you, But..... Sgs is the older version of the current RW basically.The all white is xgs. Subtle differences in the names.

I feel like 6.5 is a pretty impressive amount for such little veg time but then again it's only about one ounce per plant. I feel like a area 51 light xgs of rw 155 can grow about 2 plants with a 3 week to a month veg time. Less veg more plants it can cover longer veg less plants it can grow unless you want those pop corn buds.

Yup. Yea if I vegged longer I would probably only do 2, but since I don't i keep them small and can cram more in there. This next round I'm going to try and keep the lights closer and see if I get just hammer them more with light and get as much penetration as possible.

Didn't even notice that. Had XGS in my head but only SGS made it out. It's all good.

I can fit two medium plants or one large plant 2x4 under a sgs on a light rail. This time around im doing one larger plant.
