I have nineteen plants under my 400 hps that takes up about about a three by four foot area, Do I have room for any more plants or is the light too weak to increase the size of my grow area? I would like add another four plants or so. I want a good yield and not light deprived plants. Thanks

45 watts per square foot for an indica is what you are aiming for. 65 watts per square foot for a sativa.

well i would say if they are clones pack as many as you can fit in there if there is space put more watch humity so u dont have a problem with mold thats kinda the idea of sog as many plants as poss

Thanks, Going for the perpetual harvest so I guess I'll throw another four or six in the flowering room in a few weeks.

haha thast insane thats crowded put your fans at the base of plants to usethem to filter airt and keep mold and parsites away suggestion clip bottom leaes to force top building itll make massive niugs at the top when done right

you've all ready got way to many plants, for that size space...better to have less plants with more on them than over crowd and get hardly any bud on each plant.i grow 9 plants per meter sq, avg about 5oz plant.plus less plants = less hassel. plus 3 plants in that space using a low level bud table will give ya about 24oz if ya know what ya doing.

You should look into doing a vertical grow.

Hang the light in the middle, vertical, and bench the plants up and around it. Sorta terraced like.

4 plants in that size grow area will get crowded if conditions are right. Are you talking about autoflowering lowryders?

I'm doing a single cola style grow, eighteen sexed females started from seed in a four by four closet under 400 hps. They range from about a 1 1/2 feet to 2 1/2 feet tall and are four days into flowering. Short plants on inside tall plants circling the edges.
In wisconsin too, so hello my neighbor Boneman.

The problem is the my vegative room is too cold and the plants aren't even growing. The flowering room is heated though, so I was hoping to cram some more plants into the flowering room but there are already eighteen in there. Guess I went a little over board but I wasn't expecting a 90% female to male ratio!

I only grow 8 plants under a 400 watt bulb in a SOG style.
With 8 plants I'm able to produce approx. 18 oz. of bud.

But that's me, I'm a nuturer. Not everyone can do what I do. :hump:

i am growing 2 nice sized lst plants under a 400 watter in a 3.5x3.5 room but ive done 2,3,4,5,6 nice size plants and that was crowded. but i grow em up a lil bit first with that many you would want to keep em all the same hight and limited to a single cola (lolipop them bitches) i like to just grow a couple plants and train em so they have like 19 colas that are all even, plump and sticky

Hey neighbor...yeah its cold alright! Sounds like you got it all sorted out...kinda. Maybe you need to get rid of any runts or are they all in about the same health?

How many plants is directly related to growing style, same gose for sq ft to a point,if you lollipop you can push a 4x4 but no more, standard grow i wouldnt go past a 3x3.

I know its human nature to want as much as possible but too large a grow area will give you light & airy buds, you'll also get node spacing that is too far apart for the nodes to connect, tight nodes equals fat ass buds.

Your better off having the plants take longer to veg in the cold veg room than stuffing them in the bud room & depriving them of light.

Whats wrong with adding a simple $20 digital electric space heater to warm the veg room up ?

Well, I got a little scared this evening with the cold temperatures, so I threw the plants that were in the vegetive room into flowering, I'm up to 28 females under one 400 Hps. Damn Does anyone need some plants?? Thanks For advice evryone but I have No choice at this Point but to flower everything or throw the extras in the trash!!
