I know im not the only 1 to hoard beans, hard not to. With all these chronic strains and hybrids, how many strains or beans you guys have collected over the time? I done a inventory of my collection bank ( inside a fishing tackle box, inside a gun safe). More strains then i thought really, but never enough am i right?? LOL! Just currious how many you guys and girls have, do i really have a problem or a new hobby im just getting started on?

I currently have 53 strains and 200 beans total. (not counting 2 strains im growing atm)

I stopped buying --- aside from a recent "free + shipping" deal ---- so that I/we can pop more of what I have.

I still run at least one continuous clone, but I'd say my personal bean stash has like 20 vetted strains and at least half a dozen awesome "chucks".

how u choose which strain to pop next with so many to choose from?
I’ll randomly pop old ones just to make sure they still pop. Haven’t done any older ones in a while because they’re rare ones I’d want to preserve but think I’m gonna do some old hbk testers just labeled purple kush to see if they pop.

I keep a detailed word document with all of my strains, company first, then strain, then number of seeds. In two categories: Landraces & Heirlooms and Classic/Hybrid Strains. I would recommend doing this for anyone that isn't. I have another document I keep a list of what I most want to grow, maybe 70 strains. Of those, maybe 35 I want to grow soonest, but I'm small small time. A couple plants in a closet. Most of my seeds are from 2019 to present. I have some older stuff stored away on the west coast. I have more than enough to grow over several lifetimes and I plan on taking it slow...

I want to document all mine but want to wait till it’s winter so I can do it outside in the cold and not risk moisture. Older stuff has been sealed up in my fridge forever

I'm holding onto 35 strains, around 200 seeds from 8 different "breeders". This year it's 12 plants from 5 different breeders running outside. Have 2 packs of "testers" that I can't wait to run in my room after this outdoor crop is done.

Meanwhile I’m over here with like 5-6 different strains while y’all are here with 50+ different ones.

Guess I need to figure out where I want to buy from, being that all of my current beans were given to me. Haven’t bought beans in a few years.

I would recommend Great Lakes Genetics and D.C. Seed Exchange just because of the "freebies" that are thrown in. GLG has some awesome freebies, some of them have turned out better than the ones that were purchased.

Looking into GLG right now. A buddy of mine orders from DC Seed often, I know they’re good to go.
GLG doesn't disappoint, he's got his own lines that he throws in along with breeder freebies. A friend of mine just harvested a run, and Bad Dawgs freebies checked all the boxes. Beautiful, frosty, stinky and potent.
He ordered 2 packs, and got 3 packs of breeder and Bad Dawg freebies. 5 for the cost of 2 was an awesome deal.
