How many weeks till trichomes form

So I've dealing with an issue, in my first two grows I've ended up having plants that end up basically being swag. Now these plants were being grown from seed, purchased thru a reputable seed bank, and they were strains that were supposed to be good, jack herer, master Kush, and skunk #1. So after researching I'm assuming The reason they weren't potent, is because they were bad phenotypes, like with the jack herer and the master KUSH, I had two of each but only one of each was any good. The skunk, both sucked. So I'm wondering how soon into flowering should I see trichomes starting to really form? I'm sure each strain is different but what's a good rule of thumb? Because I was looking at my grand daddy PURP last night which is approximately 2 weeks into flower, but it has little to no trichomes. Meanwhile I have a lemon KUSH that's only 1 week into flowering that's covered in trichomes. I don't want to waste time with this grand daddy PURP if it's not going to be any good. How soon can I know if it's a dud?

Ive seen pictures of plants that have trichomes from seedling. Usually if my plant doesn't have trichomes by the end of the first week of flower then yea something is not going good most likely.

Mine started after 1 or 2 day after the 12/12 begun! Whats ur nuts and ph? how much food do you give to them? room temperature? do you remember if you had a nice root ball before you put her in 12/12? And you would already had noticed it if you had male dont worry haha :) Just look for bananas ;D If you have white pistils than you most likely have a female but who know some can turn hermi for no reason just treat them right and everything will go like it suposed to (: I have noticed too that Indica pheno take abit longer than Sativa to form crystal so maybe you just have a really good Indica strain.. be patient :D! And keep us informed on whats going on with ur ladys (:

I'm going to post a picture for y'all. It's in mid to late flower, very little trichomes, little resin or smell. I'm going to try hitting it with just cha Ching and beastie blooms since neither product contains nitrogen
