How Many

I run photos in a 4x4 for flower. I like to run 4-6 usually but it depends on the size of the plants. I like to fill the canopy no matter what before the flip. Since you're running auto's it could be trickier to predict. You're going from 12 to 25 sq ft. Since you've ran 3 in 12sq ft I would think 25 sq ft would be double 6 plants. Of course you could accommodate another 2 and make 8. As long as you keep air flow, environment dialed in, and its not over crowded. Have you tried photoperiod's? Or though about running photoperiods?

I've never ran autos. I hear it a better yield and a better end result as well

Interesting. I've never ran autos. My first is a seedling right now in a 3gal pot. Blueberry.
I've only read photos are higher potency. Of course there is more than just THC %. Cannabinoids, Terp Profiles, etc. that goes into how potent a strain can be to the individual.
I choose photo's to preserve genetics based on what i've grown and like to smoke on. And controlling the size of the vegging plants to the size needed before flower.
In the end I think genetics and growers techniques/skills/dry/cure/storing etc. play a big role in the end result to the consumer.

What size pots you running them in. I ran my autos in ten gallon pots and have my areas separated into 5x5 areas. I would’ve ran six in that area but I ran them along side some photos and only had three autos going then. But it depends on your pot size and whether or not they’re got genetics some autos produce real good results and some stay small. But you could definitely do 8 in smaller pots

Don't know about autos but I would say 4 would be a good number. my last run in a 5x5 I ran 3 plants only because I had fans and thing's in 2 corners also them corners wouldn't have received enough light anyway. 3 week veg from well rooted clone and the tent was full besides them 2 corners, I got 29oz from that.
