How much colloidal silver to use?

Hey guys, I'm trying to make seeds and I wanted some advice about how much colloidal silver to use. I have 30 ppm. I am currently spraying to dampness twice daily. It a light mist enough? I'm going through it like a mug. Thanks! :bigjoint:

30 ppm should be fine but if it's CS you bought online it may not work. Best to make your own or just use STS which only requires a few sprays and is more reliable.

But how much to mist it with? Just a few sprays or spray the shit out of it? As in, just enough to barely wet it, or really soak it?

Dripping off the leaves. Don't add any soap or anything as a surfactant either.

What CS are you using? Much of that CS sold for human usage won't work regardless of what ppm is on the label.

If I was you I'd do the STS method and save yourself weeks of hassle with daily spraying. If you're in the US you can get enough chemicals for around $30 to reverse dozens of plants. It's a simple process and it works.

I might try that down the line but I don't have the brain power for it right now. Running out of spoons. But it's a good sign that the buds are browning a bit, right?

The buds are browning? No that's not a good sign. You start spraying before flowers form and with a successful reversal you should have a plant that looks like a male with only male parts producing pollen.

This is what it should look like after reversing a female. I always do whole plants so if you only sprayed a branch or 2 they should look the same. Just like a male. Mine never turn brown.

I had success with your second picture myself. Got maybe 30 beans from the run I tried it on! good luck. Do soak it heavily, it's weak. It took 6 weeks for pollen to show up with that stuff. STS was faster by far.

Galvatron in this thread (https://www.rollitup.org/t/question-colloidal-silver-not-working.700678/) states pistils should turn brown

If you get a good reversal you don't get any female pistils to turn brown. Only male pollen sacs full of pollen.

I've used CS successfully in the past. It always took longer than STS. But it does work.

When did you start spraying?

Way too late. I started 2-3 weeks into flower as a panic way to make seeds. Can't find anyone to gift me fem auto pollen (sad face)

Oh. So you started 2-3 weeks into flower with an auto? If so all I can say is keep spraying and hope for the best.

You can reverse an auto but if you wait 2-3 weeks after it starts flowering you might not have the best success if any at all. You need to start spraying before the plant flowers.

At this point you have nothing to lose since you can't smoke the weed so just keep spraying for awhile and see if you get some balls.

Good luck.

Yeah I know it's a last ditch effort. I'll def start earlier next time. I didn't plan on making seeds, but when I ran into problems in my current grow I wanted to make seeds instead of getting in a vicious cycle of buying seeds and fucking up. But thanks for the good luck wishes! I need them :wall:

It's not a difficult process. You just have to get the timing right. You might still get some pollen. But if you have females going you wanted to pollinate it might not be in time.
