How much do you yield under a 400 hps

Couldnt put it better myself, 2oz per plant 4 plants 18inches max, do we have the same grow room and just not know it?!?lol

people that grow smaller plants faster will actually have a better yield than the folks who get 4 -6 oz per plant. over a years time the grower who does it quickly and small can yield about 25-40% more overall bud.

Are any of these yields LST?

Usually one of mine gets LST - I do that if one is uneven height from the rest. More for keeping the tops even to the light than for the spreading open to receive more light.

Thats what I plan on doing for the one thats already a couple inches tall. I just want to be able to start flowering all of them together

Didn't do well with the 3 skunk#1's I had... there were all hermies

Of those NL x buddha is my favorite.

Soilless medium (promix) in large pots watered/fed roughly every 4 to 5 days as needed. standard 20-20-20 for veging and 15-35-15 for flowering - using some A.N. Overdrive in the finishing weeks, followed by plain water (water always ph'd to around 6.3 to 6.5 - though I hear that I don't have to adjust ph with promix... but I do anyway)

400W MH for veg 16/8 - vegged to around 20" tall on average
430W HPS 12/12 .. reduced to 11/13 then 10/14 over the last weeks when they start to obviously slow in growth.
They finish around 3.5' tall average

I like my trychs foggy with just a few shining clear ones left and the odd amber.

TO ACHEIVE WHAT WE DISCUSSED ABOVE HOW MANY PLANTS MAX DO YOU RECCOMMEND I PUT IN THERE...I SEE THAT U SAID UR USING A 430HPS..WELL I PLAN ON USING 600HPS...SOULD IT BE THE SAME AMOUNT OF PLANTS U R USING UNDER THAT 430HPS?? i grew 8 poundes off one clone standing in a closet flicking a lighter.

i use a 400 MH & pack as many as i can at a time about 10- 12 plants i've got a small area only like 40"wide x 50" long and a very low ceiling

most i ever got off of a 400 watter was 3 ounces off of each 4 FOOT PLANT. but i guess anything is possible .....

and yes it took them about 6 months ! so not worth it !

6 months for 3 oz plants you must have done somthing wrong ive grown a 6 oz plant in 3 and a half months, all strains are diffrnt though

G13 haze...... Pure sativa ..... I thought that was fast for that breed, considering how long it takes to flower a sativa plant....... What was yours, and im talking from seed not clones, that will make a time difference too

What he did wrong was grow a 4 footer with a 400 light, a 400 is not sufficient to flower that tall of a plant sucessfully, he should have bent them over and dropped the light before flowering and would have had a shitload of bud just for having done that one thing.

apparently someone at icmag claims to be able to get 2 lbs from a 400w..

The only reason i let it get that big was i kept her alive long enough for me to get some clones, then i threw her under the hps.

You would or could probably get as much off of two plants as 4 plants in a 4' X 4' area. There is only so much light and so much area there. If you grow your plants big, the lower buds won't form, if you keep them smaller, you get less bud. You only have so much area to grow your plants. In a 4/ X 4' area, once you have the area filled with plant, the crops could be similar in size. You just can't force more plant in an area even if you plant 10 plants or 1 plant. If done right, you can fill that area up with however many plants you want to grow.

I never call bullshit on anything I do not personally know. I may have my doubts on some things that are said, but often, I learn something and it isn't always that the person is full of it. I have been proven wrong to many times because of my own ignorance and by not listening to someone who knew something I did not.

So, once again I ask, how did you grow 3 lbs in a 4' X 4' area, jimmy44, and did you grow your 170 grams in a 4' X 4' area? What did you use to get your fantastic yielding plants to yield like that?

The 3 pound 6 plant grow is bullshit.
I'm hoping for 5 or 6 O's per plant, I have 10 girls under 5 400w HIDs in a 7'x7' space. There is definitely a ceiling on what a 400w light will produce. I think that one could increase it a BIT by using a larger pot, but in my experience (really limited) you're trapped by the 1 gram per watt rule. Next grow, I'm gonna see what a couple of 1000w lights will do (supplemented by the 400w lights of course!!!) I'm wanting to kick it up to about 10 pounds per grow, and will do just about anything to achieve that goal. So any reccomendations will be greatfully accepted!! What ever it takes, as long as it's indoors.
