It depends on your electric rates.

But as a general rule of thumb, a very inaccurate guestimate, a 600 watter costs about 60 bucks a month to run.

Where I am, Progress Energy charges $123.19 per 1000 KWh used. Your 600W HPS should be around 660W at the ballast @120v. Running 12/12 equates to 7.92 KWh per day. At 31 days, this would be only 245.52 KWh per month. This would be $30.24 per month, but only for the light.

That is right in line with what my bill increased with 600w

Its about $31.00 a month for me in Christchurch with a 600W HPS on for 12/12 and a few bucks extra for circulation fan & extraction fan.

You need your kw unit price to work it out its on your meter/bill, I'll use 10p per kW for a example of working out the cost...

600w x 12 hours = 7.2 units/kw x 10p = 72p a day, x 7 days = £5.04p a week or £20.16p a month.
If it's HID you need to add 10% to the cost.

Depends on your electrical rates at 11.7cents/kWh where I’m at it’s like $26/mo on 12/12. Way less than you’re probably spending on weed every month

Just under 9 cents per KWH here. About to sign up for a Commercial rate that will bring it down to as low as 5 cents if I burn enough. But, lets just say 9 cents. 600w x 120v=72,000 divided by 1000 = is 72KWH x's 9 cents is $6.48 x's 30 days is about $195 a month. BUT!.. that's running it 24/0.. so cut that in half if you're on 12/12. Someone correct me if Im wrong on that equation.

I was paying 20p a unit but it's just went up damn 50%.
The Scottish government's claims 97.4% of our power is from renewable sources so wtf are we getting humped with price increases of 50 fkg %
