I've been doing the outdoor thing a very long time. Although indoors has some nice qualities, I've found genetics is far more important than environment. Good seeds will produce good weed. How well you take care of it will determine how much. Most folks around here get top notch outdoor for $150-$200/oz.

A few last notes,.. You wouldn't let your indoor flowering room get to say 55 degrees would you? (like you get even in warmer parts of the US outdoors sometimes)

No, you wouldn't, because cannabis 101 teaches us that a prime temp is about 75 degrees for cannabis in flowering cycle.

And if you did let your temps swing wildly indoors, what would you expect?

Well inferior finished bud of course. It's the same thing outdoors. Hence again growing 101, that's why you keep hearing about good outdoor dope on tropical islands. That nice steady temp.

Of course, there are other things that shwag pot out, in an outdoor setting.

Like my friend, who noticed, that his bud turned out better on seasons with less rain. Well, that is because he didn't have his plants treliced (supported to stand up right). Because when any part of your budding plant hits the ground when it's wet, shaboom instant shwag out on that section of the plant that got a little dirt on it.

Again, this is why there is the big push towards automatics. As these type of plants and crosses, due to very short and automatic flowering cycles. Will actually finish when it's very warm, although potency seems to be a problem with them.

But from what I am seeing people are saying they'd rather grow rudy crosses outdoors, then other longer strains that don't really finish outdoors because of the shwag factor.

I have a Wonderjacks cutting (Wonderjack x ditchweed) X (Wonderjack x ditchweed) that I saved in clone form. It's pretty amazing about 5 weeks flowering, and does the best of anything I've seen outdoors. I've already crossed the cutting with a 4th backcrosser to the thunderstruck clone. I also hope to cube this cutting to present it in seed form.

You probably missed the part in cannabis 101 where it says increase temps to 80-89 during CO2 releases. Why? because plants take in CO2 better in hotter temps. So for one your an idiot.

I was never talking about indoor you incompetent moron. I was clearly talking about outdoors. Of course I would not drop my temps that low, but my room temp does get about 65 at night, and my plants love it.

BAHAHAHAHA your moronic statements continue to amaze me. You know how many times I have accidentally gotten dirt on my nugs... Indoors and outdoors, shit happens. My bud has never "shwaged out" because of it... I have also had to deal with rain 3 days in a row. The plants loved it once again. Never have I seen mold on my plants due to rain... The only thing I have seen is bud rot and that was because of caterpillars but I killed them with BT.

I have never had a potency problem with my autos indoors and outdoors. They always are good, not extreme fire, but up there. Indoor and outdoor. I am currently growing autos because of how much I liked them outdoors, now I want to push them to their fullest indoors.

Once again, there is a little something called genetic variation. Each plants genetics vary depending on its lineage. For instance, strains that are a little picky would be considered indoor. While the tougher more enduring strains would be better suited outdoors.

Now your probably going to say derrr derr tougher strains equal shwaged out strains derrr. Well my friend this isn't true. There are a shit load of strains that are absolute top dollar fire and can be considered a tough outdoor loving strain.

Whatever your "friend" was growing was probably "shwaged out" genetics to begin with. Sorry man but this is what cannabis 101 teaches...

Actually..Id put California outdoor against tropical outdoor any day. Yes sativas are from the tropics and indicas are from temperate mountain regions,but they look like shit growing there on their own without human intervention..literally a weed.

Marijuana (in the wild) grows despite nature,not because of it. Theres a good number of growers on here from the tropics (Hawaii,Costa Rica,Brazil etc) and from what Ive seen them say..constant wetness and a biblical amount of bugs inhibit growing chronic shit. Californias growing season is long and sunny,with warm temperatures and no rain..perfect for growing bud. That being said, Id still rather grow indoor without a doubt
