Well Green crack Lbs for 4200 where I am and looking for average strain between 3.5-4k. Selling $350 oz you can make money but always better to be the grower and working out costs and what your profit is.
Where do u live?? Here in the Va region, the price has fallen steadily over time. Of course it was just legalized to grow around 4yrs ago.
I distinctly remember the first time there was a steady supply locally of really top shelf indoor.
I was a college soph and it was 1989.
Up until that point the quality was hit and miss. A lb of mexi brick was $1200-$1400 and “skunk” would come around occasionally and fetch $1800.
Then out of the blue the area was introduced to an indoor grown supply of Northern Lights. It was like nothing most of us (young heads) had ever seen. The smell was uncontrollable and its effects were mind blowing.
It’s funny b/c at the time my college roomie happened to be friends w/ the grower’s girlfriend. We had no idea he was growing such a large amount. All we knew is she could bring us a pound every 3 weeks or so and the cost was $3000…..no negotiation.
Overnight the price for a 1/4 bag went to $70 (from $35-40) and the supply could not keep up w/ the demand.
That train rolled on for about 4yrs……and we still didn’t know what type of operation we were dealing with.
Ultimately, someone let the cat out of the bag and the fella that grew this weed was busted.
He had 3 seperate houses w/ full basements and every room was utilized. Hundreds of pounds per month according to the reports and the only way they truly identified the person was by the outrageously high power bills for each house.
I can’t help but wonder if LED lights had been invented and used, if we’d still be getting that bud????
Sorry to digress into that story, but currently a pound of really good indoor might sell for $2000.
