the consensus seems to be .5 grams per watt of light used is a good target. Do most of the things you're supposed to and don't make any major mistakes, and you might hit it. Most first time growers don't yeild that much. Experienced growers can do up to 1 gram per watt. The thing to do is stay on this site and read read read b4 you put your money down. then maybe you'll get .3 g/w. For my part, I found it best to get a couple of books to learn about mj growing in general, then came here to work out the specifics of what i wanted to to. I highly recommend Marijuana Horticulture by Jorge Cervantes, available at Borders and Barnes and Noble. Good luck.

You gave us absolutely no information to go on. As in: how much light & what kind, medium & nutrients, how long you're going to veg. Strain makes a huge difference too. No real way of knowing that last one as you're growing from bagseed, although if you remember what kind of high you got from that particular bud you could narrow it down to indica or sativa dominant.

ok so i understand the gpw, but in my situation its confusing..
you see, i started with a 400 watt, then switched to a 1000 watt, and in the last 3 weeks it's outdoor. so try plugging in the gpw into my formula.
i cut one plant 2 weeks early and received around 30 grams, 2 weeks later i will be cutting 5 more of the same plant, how much of a difference will there be in weight added in the last 2 weeks?

Well, the last two weeks is a period of rapid growth as the plant prepares for the end of the growing season, especially if you don't flush and deprive your plants of nutes when she needs em most. you'll definitely do better than 30g, let us know hoe it works out...Good Luck.

i flushed them on friday and plan on cutting sometime between friday and sunday. im just hoping i get about 5-10 grams more per plant in the last 2 weeks, but we'll see and ill be posting with time comes. thanks.

I'm a noob who is about to grow his first crop, so what I'm about to say is not backed up by experience. Most ppl flush in the last week or two, ostensibly to rid the plant of the tasted of chemical fertilizer. But as someone else pointed out in another thread, I've never eaten a tomato that tasted like fertilizer, and I bet they don't flush those. The nutes that the plant doesn't use are left in the medium, which is why hydro growers add water to the resevoir every day, but not nutes. And I'm not using miracle grow, I'm using high quality, 3 part nutes that don't contain a lot of amendments my plants don't need. Considiring all of that, and keeping in mind the fact that the last 2 weeks will be a period of very rapid growth, I'm not going to flush my plants.

The reason for the flushing is to force the plant to use the reserves it has in it's tissues. Plus nitrates are not good for you.
