Yeah I've actually decided after not being able to find any 260w cfl bulbs an led that's actually a 260w lamp kit. So going to go with that instead. But I'm waiting for a response to see what actual watts they pull from the wall as a random post I came across said its the watts from the wall that actually count. Is this correct?
Yeah true but that's like 250 or something. Like 252 If my maths is correct. Maybe he just rounded it up closer to 260 not 250w but 260 was what I wanted. I just opened them links in background. I'll read up.tomorrow. just finished work.and need of.a shower

Well it can seem frustrating to new members, if they dont bitch on.... well anyway this is a cfl thread and ive always approched most stuff from a different angle.
This is for all t5 t8 and cfl flourescents (although i am not current with todays latest tech or mods)
Phosphor - dis is da coatin on du inside of da bulb, its triphosphor or three seperate phosphors applied in one mix.
Does this matter - yes greatly if your an led freak, science dictates many forms of phosphor, two or three exspensive ones happen to emulate sunlight very well indeed. If you but top brand fish tank flourescents you probably wouldnt know but these guys did there homework and used these exspensive types hence their jacked up prices. Its not essential to but they are superior.
I used cfls a while back, big 200/250watt ones, envirolites used superior phosphor and maxi didnt, the difference was very noticable.
Small cfls are somthing you probably need to avoid, they have had their day mainly, some still go but after a few grows you really want a better light.
I did 9 smallish plants under a 200 and 250watt envirolite, not dissapointed but hps is much better. That said they are less intense and easier to work with as a new grower but too many other cheap choices they get overlooked.
I didnt and dont care about electric costs, all lights give massive returns and small grows barely cost a gram or so a week to run, for 400grams profit

I never asked information about hps or how mant plants.... I asked about 1 specific bulb that the guy had that I wanted a few months ago and couldn't find anywhere.
I know cmh has best spectrum for veg, hps annihilates cfl for intensity, power, penetration etc. I don't need those answers. I just wanted to know where he got that bulb from. But clearly he hasn't come back to this post. So neither will I. I have pm'd him anyway. As for those who did comment with information that I could use, thank you very much. I saw he said 6x 42w but that don't add up to 260w lol but never mind I've been convinced to join the LED crew just so I.can keep it inside again instead of in my garage. Now I need to figure out leds I want to veg with one and flower with hps

You would if you lived here. We literally pay some of the highest electricity costs on the planet. My electicity bill is fucking crazy, and I have friends with setups 3 or 4 times bigger than mine.

My electricity bill is huge. And I've managed to shave about 1000 watts off my total setup by switching to LEDs in half of my flowering rooms.
Still running an SE 600 in a 4x4 and a DE 6/750 in by big room, just cause I'm old school and still get a boner for HID. Those are also my two tallest rooms. The other two are tents, and the LEDs crush it in there.
