How much light do I need for growing 10 plants in a garage?

I am going to grow 10 plants in the garage from clones.
I already have High-pressure sodium (HPS) for flowering.

Please advise how many CFL would I need for 10 plants?

Too many CFL's imo.. What wattage is your HPS? and depending on that I would pick up at least one more HPS or MH and just run those instead of CFL's

I use CFL's for my grows. I have had 2 successful grows using CFL's. You should try to have at least a 100W equivalent CFL' for each plant, but I would recommend at least 2 100W equivalents per plant. You'll probably still get some stuff that's a little fluffy but it will have a decent density if you go with 2 CFL's per plant. The garage is a hard place to control temps. Hope you live in an area that has a great climate.

Oh, one more thing. . . I grew 8 plants in my closet with 20 CFL's during one grow. They seemed to come out okay. Wasn't anything absolutely spectacular but that was back last August and I'm still smoking on that stuff. I really need to find someone to give it away to.

You can get a dozen plants or so under one 1000w. I'm running about 26-28 under 2 at the moment. It was about 35 but I just thinned out some males. It's a little cramped at the moment but not too bad. I'll probably thin it down to about 20-24 in the future.

I have one Philips 400W HPS , I read on internet it is good for flowering stage.
If I buy 400W MH for vegetation stage, will it be enough for 5 plants?

And also, I want to build the box for 5 plans, how big it should be?

I'm not sure what strain it was. It was just bag seed. I've ordered some White Russian for my next grow. Hopefully I'll get to start it soon. Depends on when I get my seeds and if I'll have company for the rest of the summer.
