how much light does a week old plant need

if u only give them 12hrs they will flower... they need 18 hrs or more to stay in vegetative growth.. its up to you to decide how long these processes go..

Preferably a week old plant would get either 18 or 24 hours of light. Flowering would not be induced in such a small plant until it has matured enough which if I remember correctly is about 60 days? Correct me if I'm wrong..

black light are no good i have a 400 watt mh now and hps for flowering, alot of cfl's is descent and the lights should be on 18/6 or 24

myth research metal halide and high pressure sodium both use differnt specturums which are the CORRECT specturms for both stages of life best investment you will every make rest assured and dont go light crazay just cause the watts are way up dosnt mean shit theres alit of problems with 10oo waters a couple of 400 will do a much beter job much less heat and and cover a larger area just little fyi
